EpicRider.net is a social networking site dedicated to motorcycle adventurers everywhere. It is a place for everyone from weekend warriors to global trekkers to join and create groups, start their own blogs, share ride reports, travel plans, and knowledge, and generally be part of a community of epic riders.
So what makes a ride “epic”? It’s all about the challenge, and going beyond what you thought possible. It’s about submitting yourself to the moment, and having to focus on where you are and what you are doing at that instant. Epic rides are not average. They are not casually mentioned in passing conversation. They either involve tales of glory (often told while hoisting your favorite beverage), or are never spoken of again.
We’ve all been on them. You can never truly prepare for one. The ride becomes something you never imagined, weather conditions changed, or were just mentally or physically unprepared for what you were taking on, yet pushed ahead.
Adventure is adversity told at leisure. This is the essence of Epic Rider.
